Matthew from The Temple of the Way of Light joins us from Peru and discusses the ayahuasca retreats at the center, the healing and metaphysical benefits of ayahuasca and the shaman's at work there to bring about enlightenment and healing. Ayahuascam is a psychoactive agent prepared from the Banisteriopsis spp. vine, usually mixed with the leaves of dimethyltryptamine-containing species of shrubs from the Psychotria genus. The brew, first described academically in the early 1950s by Harvard ethnobotanist Richard Evans Schultes, who found it employed for divinatory and healing purposes by the native peoples of the Amazonian Colombia, is known by a number of different names (see below). It has been noted that effects can be had from imbibing the Caapi vine alone, but that DMT-containing plants remain inactive when drunk as a brew without an MAO inhibitor (such as Caapi). How indigenous peoples discovered the synergistic properties of the ayahuasca brew remains unknown.[ |

A Real Ghost's Story of a Life Healed in the AfterlifeSometimes death isn't the end of the story...From a forlorn cemetery in Northern Michigan, an ethereal presence follows the author home. Years later, he returns to channel his perceptions of life and death through her... Kidnapped at the age of four by his father, Aaron Burke knows moments of great joy as his life progresses, but after the death of his wife, he cannot bear to look upon his children in whom he sees her face, and abandons them. Several years later, he falls to an inconsequential death. Shielded from contact with everything he ever cared about and stuck in a seemingly meaningless existence as a ghost, Aaron examines his role in life and recognizes within himself the patterns that created his own misery, then takes corrective measures. In 1991, the author comes upon him in a cemetery. They communicate in human and ghostly ways and after sensing his plight, she commits to helping him find a way to cross over. Uniquely treated, Aaron's Crossing is a warm tale of a lost soul’s journey home instead of a chilling ghost story. Because this actually happened to the author, the ending leaves the reader with new concepts of the afterlife, what it means to love from the heart, and the true meaning of forgiveness. People everywhere search for life-after-death answers. This fascinating glimpse into a ghost's experience offers a unique viewpoint to a hot market for the spiritual genre. Aaron's Crossing will be available September 2006 from Hampton Roads Publishing Company, Inc at Barnes & Noble and other bookstores nation wide and online at www.amazon.com! Aaron's Crossing is also being adapted to the stage in a full, PHANTOM-like musical. Click here to listen to music samples! |

Bradley Dilling from Sorrel Weed joins Savannah Paranormal this week. Bradley is the ghostly tour guide and manager of Sorrel Weed House. The house was featured on T.A..P.S. first Halloween special and is regarded as one of the most haunted houses in Savannah and beyond. After the interview Savannah Paranormal crew Tobias McGriff (Host and Founder of Blue Orb Tours), Jenny Wright (Co-Host and route developer for Blue Orb Tours) and Mark Eggers (Media and forum moderator for Savannah Paranormal) were allowed in to the Sorrel Weed House for a private tour and investigation. Savannah Paranormal spent about 4 hours inside the home and collected several class "B" evp's, thermal images and recorded several hours of footage. The entire findings will be published at a later date as it is examined but we have included a few things found already. You can subscribe to the podcast here and check back for more images video and audio as it is processed. The below thermal images were taken with a Flir i7. This is the room where servant girl Molly was found hanging and many believed murdered. Matilda, the lady of the house had jumped to her death two weeks before. The image was captured as the EMF detector went off as jenny Wright was asking questions in the room. |
